Niger State Governor Sacks 30 Special Advisers
Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago has approved the dismissal of 30 special advisers as part of a wider effort to restructure the state’s governance and boost administrative efficiency.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, who described the move as a step to align the administration with Bago’s New Niger agenda. Specific details on new appointments or possible reassignments were not disclosed.
Governor Bago reportedly shared the decision during his first State Executive Council meeting with newly inaugurated commissioners at the Government House in Minna. According to Bologi, the governor intends to reposition portfolios to enhance effectiveness, while expressing gratitude to the outgoing advisers for their service and wishing them success in future endeavors.
