Many Feared Dead in Fiery Kaduna Tanker Crash
A fatal tanker explosion on Monday morning claimed multiple lives and left several others injured in Dan Magaji, Zaria, Kaduna State. The incident occurred at about 8:30 am near the Rochas Foundation School along the Kaduna–Kano expressway bypass, between Kwangila and Dan Magaji.
According to eyewitness reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the crash involved two fuel-laden tankers and two passenger-filled Golf cars. The collision set off five deafening blasts, unleashing intense flames and thick black smoke that engulfed the busy highway. All occupants of the cars reportedly died instantly, except for one driver who survived but suffered severe burns.
Emergency responders and security personnel arrived quickly, sealing off the area and directing motorists to alternate routes as rescue and recovery operations continued.
