Lagos Ex-Deputy Governor Loses Only Son Suddenly

The Lagos political scene is in mourning after the sudden passing of Dr. Oluwafemi Olawale Adefulire, the only son of Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, a prominent figure in the state’s ruling party. Dr. Adefulire, a UK-based medical doctor, died in the early hours of Wednesday following a surgical procedure in Dubai. Family sources say the loss was completely unexpected and has left relatives and associates devastated. He is survived by his wife and children.

News of his death has rippled through the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, where Orelope-Adefulire holds longstanding influence. Her career spans decades in public service, including years as commissioner for women affairs and poverty alleviation, and she remains an influential voice within the APC’s highest decision-making structures in Lagos.
