Katsina: Newlywed Man Allegedly Killed by Wife Three Days After Wedding
Tashar Aibo community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina is in shock after a young man was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife just three days after their wedding. The victim, identified as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, a popular maize seller in the area, was allegedly attacked while resting at home on Sunday afternoon.
The couple had married on Thursday, November 18, 2025. Witnesses claim the wife stabbed him in the neck while he slept. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
Community members described Gaske as humble, hardworking, and well-liked, with many gathering at his shop in grief. Local sources expressed sorrow and offered prayers for his soul. Authorities have yet to release an official statement, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
