JUST IN: Suspected Terrorists Abduct Five Female Students from Federal University in Katsina
Suspected terrorists have once again struck a federal university, this time invading a hostel in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, and abducting five female students from Nigeria’s Federal University in the North-West region.
A heart-wrenching account from a relative of one of the victims, Muhammad Fatima, who hails from Lafiagi town in Kwara State, has confirmed this latest abduction, shedding light on the grim reality of insecurity plaguing the nation.
The assailants carried out their nefarious act on a Wednesday morning, infiltrating a private lodge along Moriamoh Ajiri School in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. In the wake of their sinister actions, they left with no fewer than five female students, who were residents of the area.
Among the victims, three were identified as Muhammad Fatima, Bello Fatima Zara, and Adam Rahmatallahi, all hailing from Kwara State, while the identities of the remaining two students remain unknown as of the time of this report.
This incident is occurring just 12 days after another horrific kidnapping event where dozens of female students were abducted from a public university in Zamfara State. Disturbingly, according to a source within the university students’ union, as many as 30 students were initially taken by the terrorists, with only six having managed to escape, leaving 24 students still held in captivity.
