JUST IN: Fifty Abducted Niger Students Escape, Reunite With Families
Fifty students kidnapped from St Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA of Niger State have escaped captivity, according to the Christian Association of Nigeria.
Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, chairman of CAN in the state and Catholic bishop of the Kontagora Diocese, said in a statement on Sunday that the children regained freedom between Friday and Saturday.
He explained that the students quietly made their way back home and have since reunited with their families, bringing a moment of relief to the community.
