IGP Appoints Deputy FPRO, State PPROs

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olukayode Egbetokun, has sanctioned the deployment of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) to various Commands and Formations across the country. Additionally, the IGP has appointed a Deputy Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The announcement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement released on Saturday. According to the statement, the appointments signify the IGP’s dedication to enhancing the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force.

Among the newly appointed officers are CSP Isuku Victor Edailokun, who assumes the role of Deputy Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Other appointments include DSP Ukandu Joshua as PPRO for Ebonyi State, ASP Buhari Abdullahi as PPRO for Gombe State, ASP John Timfon as PPRO for Akwa-Ibom State, and ASP Hundeyin Isaac Sewanu as PPRO for Ports Authority Police (Western) in Lagos.

In his statement, Adejobi emphasized the IGP’s commitment to standardizing and repositioning the Force in accordance with his vision statement. The newly appointed officers have been tasked with maintaining professionalism in their duties and fostering strong relationships with the public.

The appointments come amidst ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to enhance its public image and strengthen ties with communities across the country. The IGP expressed his confidence in the capabilities of the newly appointed officers and wished them success in their new roles.
