“I Started Singing Before I Could Talk” – Oxlade
Nigerian music sensation, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, better known as Oxlade, has revealed that he began singing before he could even talk. The Afrobeats star shared this fascinating detail during a recent appearance on the ’90s Babies’ podcast.
Oxlade disclosed that his parents told him he started singing at an early age, even before developing his speech abilities. Reflecting on his childhood, he said, “I started singing before I started talking. My parents told me that I sang faster than I could catch up with speech.”
The “Ku Lo Sa” hitmaker believes this early musical inclination laid the foundation for his impressive talent and successful career.
