“I am still waiting for your call” – Nigerian Bride-to-Be Mourns Fiancé Killed Weeks Before Their Wedding
A Nigerian woman, Kattim Telya, has been left heartbroken after her fiancé, Selnan Simon Kamven, died in a motor accident just four weeks before their wedding. The couple had planned to tie the knot on December 29, 2025, in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Kattim expressed her grief in a Facebook post on Wednesday, December 3, writing, “I am still waiting for your call,” a message that captured the shock and pain of losing her partner so unexpectedly.
As news of Selnan’s passing spread, friends, relatives and community members took to Facebook to mourn him and offer comfort to his fiancée. Many described the incident as tragic and difficult to accept.
One mourner, Bernice Chumle, wrote, “What is really happening these days? What a wicked world. Selnan… you chatted me on Facebook and invited me to your wedding and now I am seeing your wedding pictures written with RIP. I couldn’t believe it. May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace.”
Another friend, Tyem Ponven, expressed sympathy for Kattim, saying, “Speechless. My dear bestie Kattim Telya, may God give you the heart to bear this loss. Please accept my condolences.”
Danjuma Benjamin also offered prayers for strength, writing, “Dear Kattim Telya, may God give you the heart to bear this great loss. May He comfort you in a special way. Rest in peace, brother.”
The community continues to rally around Kattim as she mourns the man she had planned to marry in just a matter of weeks.
