Go Ahead and Protest While We Keep ‘Eating’ from Tinubu’s Government – Akpabio
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that Nigerians dissatisfied with the current administration are free to protest, while he and other government supporters will continue to benefit from President Bola Tinubu’s government.
“We are not interested in regime change. Let us own this government. Those who want to protest can protest. But let us be there eating,” Mr. Akpabio asserted on Tuesday.
The Senate President made these comments during a meeting with the NDDC Executive Management Engagement, Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities, and other stakeholders.
Mr. Akpabio urged Nigerians to allow the Tinubu administration more time for its policies to produce results. He called for patience and support, particularly from the youth, recognizing the ongoing economic challenges and assuring that they are being addressed.
“As the Senate President, I want to appeal to all Nigerian youths to give this administration an opportunity for most of the policies to mature,” he said. “The economic challenges are known to the president because all of us feel the impact of what is happening now.”
