“Gaza Isn’t Part of Your Country” – China Slams Trump Over Threat
China has strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump over his recent remarks threatening to remove the people of Gaza from their land. The Chinese Foreign Ministry dismissed Trump’s stance, asserting that Gaza is not part of the United States and should not be treated as a political tool.
Speaking at a news conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun emphasized that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and should not be used as leverage in political negotiations. He condemned any actions that could lead to further suffering in the region, stressing that major global powers should focus on humanitarian assistance and reconstruction efforts rather than exacerbating the crisis.
Jiakun reiterated China’s commitment to supporting the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, advocating for a governance system where Palestinians control their own territory. He firmly opposed any forced displacement of Gaza’s population, reinforcing China’s position that the post-conflict governance of Gaza must prioritize Palestinian self-determination.
China also reaffirmed its support for a two-state solution as the key to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jiakun stated that Beijing remains committed to working with the international community toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty, based on the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
