Full List: Soludo Submits Names of 21 TC Chairmen to Anambra Assembly for Approval

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has officially submitted the names of 21 Transition Committee (TC) Chairmen to the Anambra State House of Assembly for consideration. This move complies with section 208 of the local government law of 1999, as amended by number 6 law of 2012. Each TC Chairman will serve a tenure of three months.

The nominees are as follows:

• Aguata: Dr. Chibuike Ofobuike
• Anambra East: Sir Ifeanyi Chiweze
• Anambra West: Mr. Fidelis Nnazo
• Anaocha: Mr. Romanus Chukwuma Ibekwe
• Awka North: Mr. ThankGod Chibuike Anagor
• Awka South: Mr. Chinedu Okafor
• Ayamelum: Mr. Alphonsus Ofumele
• Dunukofia: Barr. Chijoke Clement Ozumba
• Ekwusigo: Mr. James Chimezie Obi
• Idemili North: Mr. Stanley Nkwoka
• Idemili South: Mrs. Amaka Obi
• Ihiala: Engr. Anayo Ojiako
• Njikoka: Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba
• Nnewi North: Engr. Chris Obiora
• Nnewi South: Mr. Val George Chinedu Ezeogidi
• Ogbaru: Mr. Franklin Nwadialu
• Onitsha North: Mr. Anthony Nwaora
• Onitsha South: Mr. Joseph Emeka Orji
• Orumba North: Barr. Casimir Nwafor
• Orumba South: Mr. Shedrack Azubuike
• Oyi: Mr. Emma Nweke

During the plenary session on Wednesday, June 19, Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze read the governor’s letter and referred it to the Screening Committee, chaired by Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye. Speaker Udeze directed the committee to report back at the next adjourned date.

The Assembly adjourned and is scheduled to reconvene on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
