Full List: Labour Party Constitutes Electoral Reform Committee: Sam Amadi Appointed Chairman

The Labour Party (LP) has announced the formation of its Electoral Reform Committee, appointing prominent analyst Sam Amadi as its chairman. The committee, tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of the party’s electoral procedures to ensure transparency and fairness, will commence its duties following an inauguration scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at the LP national headquarters in Abuja.

Umar Farouk Ibrahim, National Publicity Secretary of the LP, disclosed in a statement that the committee has been granted a three-month timeline to deliver its findings. The mandate includes a holistic assessment aimed at establishing mechanisms that guarantee credible elections within the party.

The committee members, as approved by the LP leadership, include:

Comrade Ayo Olorunfemi – Alternate Chairman

Mrs Dudu Manuga – Secretary

Comrade Adekunle Rotimi – Alternate Secretary

Barrister Calistus Ihediagwa – Alternate Secretary
