Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration following the resignation of Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, over certificate forgery allegations. In a post on his official X handle, Abubakar described the resignation as an attempt to whitewash a scandal that he says exposes a deeper moral crisis within the government.

Abubakar argued that Nnaji should have been summarily dismissed and prosecuted for falsification, rather than being allowed to resign quietly. He suggested that this culture of falsification has become institutionalized within the government, contributing to what he called Nigeria’s moral decline.

Abubakar called for an independent and transparent investigation into the academic and professional credentials of all members of the Federal Executive Council, including President Tinubu. He warned that without such scrutiny, the nation risks further moral decay, economic instability, and international embarrassment.
