“Don’t Marry a Man Who’s the Only One Doing Well in His Family” – Nigerian Woman Warns
Nigerian woman Nnenna Okoronkwo has sparked conversation on social media with a candid warning to women about marriage choices. In a Facebook post shared on Monday, she advised women to be cautious about marrying men who are the sole financially stable individuals in their families.
Okoronkwo cautioned that such situations often come with entitled relatives and added pressure. “Before you marry the man that is doing well, check well. If he’s the only one doing well in his family, with entitled parents and lazy siblings—the type that will sit around, eat your food and blame you because their brother no longer helps them—run o!” she wrote.
Her comments have drawn mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with her perspective and others calling for more understanding in family dynamics.
