Dogara Congratulates New National Assembly Leaders,Tasks Them on Good Governance
A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara has congratulated the new leadership of the National Assembly.
Dogara in a statement issued on Tuesday through his official Twitter account,@YakubDogara urged them to contribute their quota in enthroning democracy and good governance in the country.

“I congratulate Sen Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan & Hon @femigbaja on their election as 9th @NGRSenate President & Speaker of 9th @HouseNGR & their deputies Sen Ovie Omo-Agege & Hon Ahmed Idris.
“The emergence of new leaders of the @nassnigeria is a reflection of the wishes of the majority of Senators & Members.
“I pray God for guidance to the new leadership & wish to restate my continued commitment & support towards the success of 9th Assembly through enthronment of democratic ideals & legislative interventions geared towards the development of the Nigerian nation.
“It is my sincere hope that the 9th Assembly will consolidate on the unprecedented landmark achievements of the 8th Assembly & even surpass our records.
