Ceasefire! You Are Putting Natasha at Risk, We’ll Resolve Everything — 2Baba Appeals to Nigerians
Veteran singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has called on fans, friends, and family to exercise restraint as tensions surrounding his marriage to Natasha Osawaru continue to attract public attention. In a video shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, the singer urged a “ceasefire,” warning that the situation was putting his wife at risk.
“This is a dangerous situation right now. I know what fans can do and I know what people can do. I am perfectly okay. And this is putting Natasha at risk. It is not fair on anybody to do this kind of thing,” 2Baba said. He added, “We are going to resolve all these issues. People dey get issues for house, but this is getting out of hand. Please, friends, family, everybody ceasefire.”
The plea comes amid growing public scrutiny of 2Baba’s marriage to Natasha, who is a serving member of the Edo State House of Assembly. The couple was recently involved in a public spat in the UK, followed by another heated exchange during a live Facebook session with media personality Daddy Freeze.
Following the UK incident, reports confirmed that 2Baba was briefly arrested after the altercation, underscoring the intensity of the dispute. Despite the drama, the singer reassured fans that the matter would be resolved privately.
“We’ll handle this quietly. The most important thing right now is Natasha’s safety. I’m asking everyone to step back and let us sort this out,” he said.
