Bayelsa Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Reportedly Dies Following Office Collapse
Reports are circulating that Bayelsa State Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has died after collapsing in his office. According to family sources, he was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa.
Eyewitnesses had described the deputy governor as appearing seriously ill when he was hurried into the hospital’s emergency unit. The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 p.m., prompting an immediate medical response.
Sources close to the deputy governor suggested that the collapse may have been linked to his demanding work schedule. While no official cause has been confirmed, multiple reports indicate a possible cardiac complication.
Security personnel have cordoned off the hospital, and top government officials were seen visiting to show support. Attempts to reach the deputy governor’s media aide, Doubara Atasi, were unsuccessful.
SK Blog cannot independently verify the reports, but they have been widely circulating across multiple news outlets.
