Atiku’s Lawyer Uyi Giwa-Osagie released without Charge after 17 days. Laments illegality and Ill treatment by EFCC.

After 17 days in EFCC detention, Alhaji Atiku’s lawyer, Uyi Giwa-Osagie has regained his freedom. This was confirmed in a message sent out by Mr Edebiri to friends and well wishers. See below:
“Good morning gentlemen. Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and wishes. I am deeply grateful to you all. For record purposes, I confirm that I have been released from an unlawful, unwarranted, illegal and wicked arrest and detention that lasted 17 days. I am back home now with my family.
I have not been charged with any offence (and in 17 days, I was questioned on 3 days only – other days, I was just locked up like a dog). I also expect that I will not be charged with any offence (not least because, I have committed none), but that is a story for another day.
There will be plenty time to fill you all in with details of my travails, and fill you in, I certainly shall.
In the meantime, I hope those who were seeking this Return To Golgotha…….. Are enjoying their new country. Gird your loins guys, you don’t know the market you have just bought!!
Salaam………”
