Atiku Abubakar Foundation Awards Scholarships to Nigerian TeenEagle Champions
The Atiku Abubakar Foundation has awarded full academic scholarships to three Nigerian students following their outstanding performance at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Round competition held in London, United Kingdom.
The students – Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli – represented Nigeria in the prestigious global academic contest and emerged as top performers in their respective categories. Seventeen-year-old Nafisa Aminu was named overall best in English Language skills, 15-year-old Rukayya Fema led the debate category, while Hadiza Kalli earned the outstanding talent award and secured a gold medal.
In a letter addressed to the students, Ahmadu Shehu, acting secretary of the foundation, announced that the scholarship package will fully cover the remainder of their secondary education as well as their university studies at any institution of their choice. He described the students’ success as a reflection of their academic excellence and a symbol of the limitless potential of children across all backgrounds.
The Foundation, which oversees the philanthropic efforts of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, reaffirmed its commitment to education, especially for girls and vulnerable groups in Nigeria. It praised the students for bringing global recognition to the country and emphasized the role of quality education in nation-building.
President Bola Tinubu also joined in congratulating the students, hailing their triumph as a demonstration of the brilliance and potential of Nigerian youth on the international stage.
