Nigerian music promoter and socialite Sam Larry has reportedly been hospitalised following a road crash along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos State.
The accident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday and involved the vehicle conveying Sam Larry and a trailer. According to reports, the vehicle collided with the trailer, leaving it badly damaged.
The crash also reportedly claimed the life of Sam Larry's bouncer, who was said to have died at the scene.
Videos and photos shared on social media showed the vehicle with extensive front-end damage, indicating the severity of the impact.
The incident came to public attention after comedian and MC Mario Wazobia posted on Instagram, asking Nigerians to pray for the music promoter. In one post, he wrote, "Pray for Sam Larry," while another stated that Sam Larry had been taken to hospital for treatment.
As of the time of publication, neither Sam Larry's family nor his management had issued an official statement on his condition.
The Nigeria Police Force and other relevant authorities had also not released an official account of the crash or confirmed the reported fatality.
The reports have sparked reactions across social media, with many users expressing concern for Sam Larry's recovery and condolences over the reported death of his bouncer.
