Nollywood actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels has said she no longer plans to get married again following the breakdown of her marriage to Delta North senator, Ned Nwoko.

The actress made the statement during a recent livestream with TikToker and streamer Amadou “Jarvis (Jadrolita)” Elizabeth shortly after hosting her Children’s Day carnival in Asaba, Delta State.

Speaking about love and family, Daniels said although she still believes in love, her views on marriage have changed.

“I still believe in love. I said I wanted to have six children, but for some reason, I’ve changed my mind about getting married,” she said.

The actress also spoke about wanting a daughter after having two sons, saying motherhood feels different with female children.

“I’m yet to have a girl, and I must have a girl. I feel like you understand motherhood differently when you have a girl child,” she said.

Daniels explained that while boys often grow up and focus on their own families, daughters tend to maintain closer relationships with their parents.

The actress also revealed that she has not seen her children, Munir and Khalifa, since 2025.

“I’ve missed my children, but I know I’ll see them soon. By God’s grace, Inshallah. I saw them last year,” she said.

According to her, her first son will turn six this year, while her second son will be four.

Daniels and Nwoko were at the centre of public controversy between late 2025 and early 2026 following allegations involving domestic violence, drug abuse and family disputes. Both parties reportedly threatened legal action during the period, although little has been publicly heard about their relationship since then.

During the livestream, Daniels also advised young women entering the entertainment industry to avoid desperation.

“Don’t be too desperate. Go at God’s pace in your life. Desperation can lead to many things, and the industry is not a good place for desperate minds,” she said.

The actress credited her early start in Nollywood and her mother’s guidance for helping her avoid negative experiences in the industry.
