Aisha Achimugu Reacts to EFCC Declaring Her Wanted
Aisha Achimugu, the managing director and CEO of Felak Concept Group, has responded to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after being declared wanted over allegations of money laundering.
The EFCC issued a notice on Friday urging anyone aware of Achimugu’s whereabouts to inform the agency, stating that she was wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
In a statement released on her official Instagram account on Sunday, Achimugu acknowledged the concerns raised by friends and family, expressing gratitude for their support. The statement, signed by her head of media, Bodex Hungbo, emphasized her commitment to the rule of law and due process.
She reaffirmed that her business operations adhere to Nigerian laws and are built on transparency and integrity. She assured business partners, family, and well-wishers that she remains committed to addressing the allegations responsibly.
Achimugu, a prominent socialite, gained public attention in January 2024 for hosting an extravagant week-long 50th birthday celebration in Grenada, attended by high-profile Nigerian entertainers and Lagos state governor.
