The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday has again asked President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack all security chiefs following the continued attack by insurgents and bandits.
This followed a motion by the Senator representing Borno, Kashim Shettima, lamenting the recent massacre of scores of farmers in Zambarmari village in Borno state.
The motion aside from calling for the sack of service chiefs further accused the security hierarchy of corruption within the security structure.
A number of the lawmakers also called for the services of mercenaries to help in the fight against insurgency, saying the service chiefs have outlived their usefulness.
They also want the President to initiate multilateral and bilateral partnerships so as to find a lasting solution to the issue of insurgency.
