Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, arrived at the site of a collapsed two-storey building housing numerous business centers in Garki II, Abuja, on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting the minister’s response.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday morning, Wike restated his commitment to taking action against structures lacking proper approval within the nation’s capital. He emphasized that any building found without the necessary authorization would be demolished.
“Our stance is clear: any structure without proper approval will face demolition. Our intentions are not malicious. We simply demand adherence to the appropriate procedures,” Wike stated.
