Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, has mocked godfathers in All Progressives Congress (APC), following the party’s poor outing in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo state.
In a veiled tweet on Saturday, Wike who is the Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for Edo Governorship Election said other regions could be controlled by one man but not the South South region.
Wike on Friday was involved in a face off with the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, after the police boss told him to leave Edo state where he had gone for election duties. Wike in defiance told the IGP that he has no right to order him out of the state and vowed not to leave. Over 300 policemen reportedly laid siege on the hotel the Governor lodged in Benin city.
