There was a robbery incident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
It was reported that the incident occurred at the early hours of this morning near Warewa bus stop on the long bridge.
It was reported that many motorists abandoned their vehicles.
Any eyewitness was reported to have said that ”There was a robbery and people out of fear began to run. Some people hit the cars of others, and we heard that someone was killed,”
It was however reported that, the police have been to the scene of the robbery incident.
The incident was confirmed by the Divisional Police Officer at the Warewa Police Station, Abdulfathai Ogunsanya.
He said, “My men are at the scene of the crime now. We have not got any comprehensive report so we cannot tell you whether someone was killed or not.”
He however later debunked the claim that anyone died as a result of gunshots during the incident, but confirmed that casualties are receiving treatment in the hospital.
