The Nigeria Police Force has sealed off the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Members of staff were allowed to access the premises without their cars but members of the national working committee who showed up were denied entrance.
This latest action by the police is a result of the crisis caused by various conflicting court orders declaring different members of the NWC as acting national chairman, following a court of appeal affirmation of the suspension of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The party’s National Working Committee had affirmed former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, as the Acting National Chairman.
However, due to Mr Ajimobi’s unavoidable absence, the NWC appointed the National Vice Chairman, South-South, Hilliard Etta to act on his behalf.
However, the APC Deputy National Secretary, Mr Victor Giadom has also declared himself as the acting National Chairman, on the strength of a Federal Capital Territory High Court order obtained on March 16.
