The Osun State government has announced plans to recruit teachers for public schools in the state. The Commissioner for Education, Dipo Eluwole, made this announcement during a press conference in Osogbo on Friday.
The government has also called on the 1,509 teachers who were recruited by the previous administration but suspended by Governor Ademola Adeleke to reapply for their positions. Commissioner Eluwole emphasized that only qualified applicants would be considered for recruitment.
Expressing concern over the decline in the education standard in Osun State, Eluwole stated that the government was dedicated to repositioning the education system. To address the challenges facing the state’s education sector, the government plans to organize the State 2023 Educational Summit. This summit will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss and find solutions to the issues affecting education in Osun.
Eluwole assured the public that the recruitment process would be thorough and transparent. He emphasized that only qualified teachers with expertise in their respective disciplines would be considered for employment. The government aims to employ teachers at both the primary and secondary levels.
The announcement of teacher recruitment in Osun State is a positive step towards improving the education system. By prioritizing qualified and skilled teachers, the government hopes to enhance the quality of education in public schools. The upcoming educational summit also indicates a commitment to addressing the challenges and finding sustainable solutions for the state’s education sector.
