A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Edo State, Don Pedro Obaseki, has taken a swipe at Adams Oshiomole stating that “It is a pity that Edo State once had a Governor who did not have a primary school certificate, we know he had to set ablaze the ministry of education to cover up.”
The incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki had also at some point being reported to have said “They say I forged my certificate. How can you forge the certificate of University of Ibadan? I am not like those who burn buildings to cover up their certificate issues.”
The last has not been heard of the political imbroglio between Godwin Obaseki and Adams Oshiomole.
You would recall that Oshiomole had called on the authorities of University of Ibadan to investigate the authenticity of Obaseki’s certificate.
The University, through its registrar, had come out to attest to the fact that Obaseki graduated from the University in 1979.
The fight however still raged on, with the Governor being screened out of the Governorship race on the account of him having a forged University of Ibadan certificate and inconsistencies of his name on his NYSC certificate.
The certificate had “Obasek” instead of “Obaseki”
However with Obaseki determined to put up a fight and get his pound of flesh, the “only” educational certificate Adams Oshiomole possesses has gone viral.
The certificate shows Adams Oshiomole went to adult evening school in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) in 1973/74.
According to the certificate, the attendance was an evening school of Trade Union Organization.
