Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday met with his predecessor in office and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole at the presidential villa.
The duo was at the villa for the opening of the APC presidential policy dialogue and appeared to have set aside their differences when they shook hands with each other.
The event was attended by APC Governors, party leaders and captains of industries.
Obaseki has been at war with Oshiomhole over the control of the party in the state. The governor has accused Oshiomhole of not allowing him free hand to run the affairs of the state. Oshiomhole is reportedly planning to replace Obaseki with another candidate ahead of the 2020 gubernatorial election in the state.
The current crisis in the the state’s House of Assembly was the fallout of that battle of supremacy.
