Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has sent a condolence letter to the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun over the death of Senator Buruji Kashamu.

In the letter, Obasanjo described Kashamu as a significant citizen of Ogun State.

He stated in the letter that the deceased had in his life time used the maneuver of the law and politics to escape from facing justice from alleged criminal offences within and outside Nigeria.

He however also stated that, “no legal, political, cultural, social or even medical maneuver could stop the cold hand of death, when the creator of all of us decides that the time is up”
