NCC Directs Mobile Phone Service Providers to Suspend Services in Zamfara

The Nigerian Communications Commission NCC has written to mobile operators in Nigeria and requested that they suspend services in the state.

According to the letter this is to enable the security agencies in their quest to end terrorism in the state. Services are also to be suspended in neighbouring states near Zamfara.

Services are supposed to be shut down for an initial period of 2 weeks.
