So I watched a channels TV reported on Zamfara.
The presenter wanted to get a close up view of the situation. She was told to dress in a human and given around 10 fully armed mobile policemen.
They drove through some sandy desert and arrived at this remote village.
She proceeds to interview the guy.
He admits that the Fulani lived with them peacefully for many years until very recently when they started killing them. He says he does not know why the sudden hostility.
The lady asked if they had killed their cows or any Fulani men…And he said it has never happened.
He also said that when the bandits have sacked and now occupy a village and when they hear the air force jets or choppers, they throw down their arms and go back into the houses.
Two things I picked out of this interview…
1. The woman was almost saying that if you kill a cow then the Fulani’s will kill you (is this now normal)?
2. Something triggered the violence…What?
