The Tinubu Foundation and Nuhu Ribadu Support Group in Adamawa State on Monday collapsed its structures for the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This development which is coming few days to the commencement of Nigeria’s general elections will no doubt boost the chances of the PDP in the state and Nigeria.
Leaders of the groups who led hundreds of their members to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola announced their defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the State Coordinator of Tinubu Foundation 2023, Suleiman Yarima, the move was necessary owing to the giant strides of the Fintiri administration across the nooks and crannies of Adamawa.
He said some of their members were among those who made the list of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in the state and vowed to deliver votes of supporters of Bola Tinubu to PDP.
On his part, leader of Nuhu Ribadu Support Group, Alh Saidu Aliyu said they will not only ensure re-election of Governor Fintiri at the polls but all other PDP candidates from top to bottom.
Responding, Governor Umaru Fintiri appreciates the support groups for declaring their total support for PDP and pledged to carry them along in the journey of Adamawa project.
He said what his administration has done so far was just a tip of the iceberg and vowed to continue in the task of leaving a lasting legacy that the future generation will be proud of.
Fintiri restated commitment to double efforts if re-elected to improving rural and urban roads, education, healthcare, agriculture, economy and youths empowerment among others.
“We will continue to pay WAEC and NECO, scholarship allowances to our children. We will continue to empower our youths and women in the state,” said the Governor.
He called on the groups to deliver Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as next Nigeria’s President as according to him the presidential candidate is fit for the job and will transform the country.
