The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, has dissociated itself from the claims credited to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, that the Covid-19 vaccine is meant to kill people.
Governor Bello was reported at a public function to have cast doubts on the wisdom of plans by the Federal Government to bring into the country, at least 100,000 doses of the Pfizer and BioNTech approved Covid-19 vaccine by February 2021.
The umbrella body of the Nigerian state Governors in a Communique issued after its 24th Teleconference meeting emphasised that the Forum will continue to be informed and guided by science and will ensure that all decisions it takes retain the public and professional trust and not compromised by conflicts of interest.
