The Disciplinary Committee of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Lagos State Chapter, expected the three suspended executive members of the party to appear before it, to defend themselves on all the allegations leveled against them.
The Suspended officers; Mr Muiz Shodipe, Barrister Taofik Gani and Mr Nurudeen Adewale, the erstwhile State Secretary, State Publicity Secretary and Ex-Officio respectively were duly served the letters of invitation, which they also received.
Their respective offences were clearly stated in the invitation letters issued to them, but they all however, flagrantly refused to show up at the Disciplinary Committee sitting at the State Secretariat in Ikeja to honor the invitation.
Reports received also indicated that some thugs tried to disrupt the disciplinary committee sitting but didn’t succeed as their plans were thwarted.
The Disciplinary Committee deemed that action of the three officers, as a deliberate act of insurbordination and a flagrant disregard of the Party Constitution.
However, in the Spirit of love and reconciliation, the disciplinary committee, decided to give the suspended officers another opportunity to appear before it.
They would be expected to appear later on a date that will be duly communicated to all and sundry soonest.
Reports received stated that, in the same true spirit of love and reconciliation, the Lagos state PDP Chairman Engr. Adedeji Doherty was also at the party Secretariat.
