The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has banned the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, and the Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria.

The government also directed taxi drivers to revert to the old rate of N50 per drop.

This was made known by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Special Duties and Strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale, in Akure, the state capital.

The SSA to the Governor said the order was with immediate effect.

You would recall that, there have been very serious leadership issues between the two unions.
