Yoruba of good origin speaks volumes by saying, ” ki a to fi eniyan j’oye n’ilu, onit’oun la ti j’eni rere.” Literally meaning, ‘for someone to be installed as a Chief in a descent society , he must be a man of good character.’
Indeed, the new Odofin Erunwon kingdom, Ijebu land, Aare Atokunleki S. G Oralusi is not only a man of good character but honor and integrity. A business mogul who hailed from Ile-Ife, ” Ife Ooye, Ife Oodaye n’ibi ti oju rere ti mo wa.”
The installation which was performed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Barr Johnson Adeniyi Adebayo Okubena Adaraloye II, the Elerunwon of Erunwon at his palace on Thursday August 5th, 2021, is the first of its kind.
The occasion was witnessed by many dignitaries from all walks of life. Nearly all the Obas and Baale in Ijebu land were present. His Imperial Majesty, the Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, was ably represented.
Yoruba speaks volumes by saying, ” f’ore re han mi, ki n mo iru eniyan ti o je.” Literally meaning, ‘ Show me your friend, I tell you the kind of person you’re.’ Sufficient to write that Aare Atokunleki is one of our good friends.
“Odofin agba oye, e gbo, e to. E f’owo pa’hu, e f’eriki j’obi. Ajegbo, ajetoooooo.”
Please, join us in wishing him long life and peaceful reign.
