The member representing Ibarapa East state constituency in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin has emerged as the Speaker of the state’s Assembly.
Ogundoyin,32, was elected unopposed through unanimous voice vote of the 32 members of the Assembly on Monday.
A graduate of Babcock University and the son of the late philanthropist and industrialist, late Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, Adebo was first elected to the Assembly on June 2, 2018 in a by-election following the death of the former speaker of the house, late Michael Adeyemo on April 27, 2018.
The election which was held at the Assembly chambers was witnessed by the state governor, Seyi Makinde, his deputy,Rauf Olaniyan.
