Charles Idahosa, the former political adviser to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has warned that the party will lose the gubernatorial election in Edo state and lose the entire South South and South East geopolitical regions if the state’s governor, Godwin Obaseki fails to emerge as the flag bearer.
Idahosa who gave the warning on Tuesday when he addressed journalists as part of the activities to mark his 66th birthday, said any attempt to force Obaseki out of the APC will be the end of the party in the state and region.
“Nobody can push him (Obaseki) out of this party except they want to finish the APC in the South-South and South-East. As we speak now, only Edo State is being governed by an APC government.
“If by any act of omission or commission, they push him out of the party, that is the end of it,” Idahosa said.
On the cause of the feud between Obaseki and Oshiomhole, he said, “Obaseki’s record is so intimidating, making his achievements look ordinary, so he is jealous.”
Idahosa urged the warring duo to resolve their differences.
